The Sussex County Library System is pleased to announce that the Main Library in Frankford will be open Thursday evenings beginning in July.

Due to the July 4 holiday the first Thursday evening will be July 11, when instead of closing at 5:00 p.m., library patrons will be able to browse, attend programs, use computers, check out books and more until 8:30 p.m.

“Increasing the Library’s hours of service for Sussex County residents is our number one priority,” stated Library Director Will Porter. “We started by adding Saturday hours at our Dennis, Franklin and Louise Childs branches, and these additional evening hours at Main Library are another step toward better serving our local community.”

The SCLS is comprised of six branches: the Main Library in Frankford; Dennis Branch in the heart of Newton; Louise Childs Branch in Hopatcong; Dorothy Henry Branch in Vernon; the Franklin Branch on Main Street in Franklin; and the Sussex-Wantage Branch next to the Sussex airport. In addition to books, movies, magazines and all the traditional things usually found in public libraries, the SCLS also offers public computers; scanning, faxing and printing; public Wi-Fi; a small business center with poster and banner printing at the Main Library; and free Notary services by appointment.

Full information on library hours and locations, activities, online resources and the complete catalog can be found at sussexcountylibrary.org.
