Twenty-eight Golfers who had competed all golf season to qualify for the end of the year Crystal Cup Shootout Championship gathered on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Ballyowen Golf Club to determine the 2018 Champions in three divisions; Men’s, Senior’s and Women’s.

The format for this event was a shootout in which each golfer in their respective divisions tee off. All play their own ball through the completion of the hole. The golfer with the highest net score after handicap is eliminated from the competition. This process continued at each hole until all participants had been eliminated except the golfer with the lowest net score on the final hole.

The last golfers standing at the completion of play for each division were Tony Alfano the Men’s Champ, Bob Mosier, the Senior’s Champ and Mary Lou Nicoletti the Women’s Division Champ.

The Crystal Cup Champions each won a 2019 Membership at the Springs Golf Resort. An awards ceremony and buffet dinner were held following golf at Owen’s Pub in the Ballyowen Clubhouse.
