Jefferson edges Hawthorne in the quarterfinals

Steve Breeman led third-seeded Jefferson with 23 points in its 62-60 win over sixth-seeded Hawthorne on Thursday, March 1.

Joe Batelli added 10 points for the Falcons (18-9).

Dallas Hoffman scored 22 points for Hawthorne (17-8). T.J. Palmer scored 13 points. Shane Rooney and Danny Rodriguez each scored 10 points.

Jefferson went on to defeat Mahwah in the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 1, Group 2 Tournament, Semifinal Round on Saturday, March 3.
