Ziegler Dancers conclude season at World Dance Championship

VERNON — Ziegler Dance Centre, located in Viking Village in McAfee, recently attended the World Dance Championships in Secaucus. The dancers qualified by winning a “Golden Ticket” (1st overall) at 1 of 6 regional competition that go to a combined 250 cities and countries a year.

Only dances that received a “Golden Ticket” at one of these 250 cities and countries were allowed to competed. ZDC dancers competed against people from all around the U.S., Canada, Australia and China. The experience, recognition, and final result will last on for years. ZDC’s Advance Musical Theatre Grand Line won 6th Overall, Intermediate Hip Hop Large Group “Celebrate” won 18th overall.

Teen Advance Musical Theatre Large Group “Rockin the Boat” won 9th overall and Teen Advance Lyrical Small Group “Brave” won 9th overall. Senior Advance Tap Large Group “Seven Nation Army” won 8th overall.
